SUPERCLOUD gave a presentation at DG Connect on current challenges and technological state of the art on cloud security on February 2, 2016 in Brussels, Belgium. Attending from the EU were the SUPERCLOUD Project Officer and several representatives from the Unit E.2 (Software & Services, Cloud). SUPERCLOUD was represented by Technikon, Orange, IBM, and the University of Lisbon. One aim of the meeting was to identify key tough questions and technology trend gaps on cloud security. Another aim was to better understand how SUPERCLOUD aims to overcome some current such technology limitations. The focus was put on virtualization security, data protection and anonymity, and security in convergence of clouds and networks. The meeting was very fruitful and raised many interesting questions regarding the project vision and business model, virtualization, data, and network management security, which will be considered for the further project progress.
